POMAZINE
Spring ‘23
Theme: Home and Belonging
Call for Submissions:
The Pomegranate Collective is creating a zine to feature inspiring artists under the common theme of belonging and home.
Where is home and is such a thing a static place? What does it mean to belong to a community? What belongs to us and what are we entitled to? What is it to be home or not to feel at home? Wherever these kinds of questions pull you, we would like to see. Pom wants to elevate art which is daringly creative and isn’t afraid of the ugly truth. We are accepting submissions which encompass these values.
Submissions are open to visual art, poetry, fiction, and nonfiction/academic essays. All written word submissions must be 1000 words or less. They need not be in English either. Must be original submissions at the time of publication (no cross journal/zine pieces).
The endangered acts of reading and writing are unwavering values of Pomegranate Collective! We are seeking as many written works as visual. Writers, don’t be shy!
Deadline for submissions is March 8th. We are hoping to inform applicants about the status of their submission in late March. First issue of Pomazine will be released in early May!
