Friends

I'm thankful for friends. Friends who can forgive, friends who can be grateful, friends who can reconcile and not feel vindictive when the friendship is not honored. Friends who don't fade through time and distance. Friends who understand that a pangaea must separate, that these invisible lines and vivid colours are great fun for big talk but easily dismissed in strong hearts. Friends who don't jump to a conclusion, who will instead perhaps ask for one. Friends who can share anything and everything, where TMI means nothing. Friends who don't have to make me laugh, but who will want me to laugh. Friends who go beyond tolerance; friends who go beyond patience. Friends that can be taken for granted. Friends that won't be taken for granted. Who can freely express and talk back without fear of judgment. Friends who can surprise. Friends who can grow. Friends who understand that we're all friends. Friends who aren't needy. Friends who can handle neediness. Friends simply because we need friends.
